I’ve been making knives for many years. You see, ever since I was a youngster, whether I was working on the family horse farm or running through the woods near my boyhood home, I always carried a knife.

I started making knives as a result of meeting a blacksmith at a rendezvous. He made knives, tomahawks, and all the other iron objects a smith makes. I asked him if he would teach me, and he agreed, but only on the condition that I learn traditional blacksmithing, not just knife making.
